The scrappy leftover cake yarn blanket continues. I'm doing a little free form stitching and having fun.
The lion brand mandala cake yarn blanket continues. This was leftover yarn so the skein wrapper is gone to provide more information on it. Free form stitching is all over the place creating swaths and bands of solid color. Colors of bright yellow, gold, blue, orange, burnt orange, pink, and charcoal paint the panel. Using a blue 5mm crochet hook, working half double stitches (US terms).

Picked up another WIP, so working on two at once. Lol, I still need to post the last finished project. Anyway, here's this one.
A blue 5mm crochet hook sits inserted in a panel that will become a blanket. The yarn used has since lost the skein wrapper but is a cake of Lion Brand Mandala yarn. This colorway fades in red, orange, yellow, brown, green, and blue; when worked this creates stripes of color. Worked in half double crochet (US terms).

This is my favorite #crochet tool: and ends weaver. I bought this a few years ago from TheHookNook and it keeps me from pulling my hair out. I just weaved the ends of 10 hexagons in about 5 minutes.

Second Nerivio treatment today. A little weird to wear while crocheting but manageable.

Started using the #Nerivio for #migraine prevention/treatment. So far, easy to use and hopeful it helps overall.

Another solid crochet hexagon resting in my left hand. This one is a bit larger than my palm. Yarn used was Red Heart in White. Hook was 5.5mm and 5 rounds were worked on the hex. The ends are not weaved in and trail to the right side of the frame. Making these feels like magic.

A crocheted swatch rests in my left palm. This was a test of a solid hexagon. One side appears slightly smaller than the rest where I must have missed a stitch. Worked with Caron Simply Soft yarn in Mango using a 5mm hook. The six sides are in double crochet (US terms) and five rounds were worked on the swatch making it as large as my palm.

Yet another snap of my current blanket WIP. A peach colored 5.5mm crochet wire is central in the photo and inserted in the top of the panel. The yarn is I Love This Yarn from Hobby Lobby in orange burst. The colorway is burgundy, bright orange, burnt orange, teal, brown, and cream. I'm a few skeins now from the boarder and I hope the next photo will be a finished product.

Cleaned house. Crocheted. Made soup. Took a small road trip. It was a full day. Soup recipe in photo #AltText
Chicken noodle soup. Ingredients: 4-6 bone-in, skin on, chicken thighs Carrots, diced One sweet onion, diced One bag of wide egg noodles One container of bone broth Just as much water as the bone broth 3 pats of butter Spices: blended (i don't measure i eyeballs it) black pepper, salt, granulated garlic, basil, parsley, ground ginger, turmeric Boil the chicken thighs in the water and bone broth until they fall off the bone. While that is boiling, begin to sauté the onion and carrots in butter, cover on medium heat. De-bone and shred the meat from three thighs for the soup (use the other 3 for whatever else). Now add noodles, chicken, onions, carrots, and spice blend to the broth; cook until noodles are tender. Enjoy.

A large, family veggie sample platter Ethiopian cuisine site in the middle of a table surrounded with people. No one is eating because they're listening to the server explain the dish and how it is eaten with Injera by hand. (It was delicious.) Square plates sit around the platter and are smeared with food that was already enjoyed including: falafel, hummus, and Sambusa.

Down town Minneapolis from a hotel room. Mirrored buildings touch the sky. It's a Sunday and the streets are quiet because the Vikings are at home playing the Eagles. A rainy airplane window.
