I don't wanna be a constant hater of the game I love playing, whose existence allowed me to create a job centered on media analysis. But I'm so fucking tired of recognizing less & less of what made me excited to talk about this in the first place.

Agreed! I started playing Magic around GTC but took a break from paper play around when COVID started as I obviously couldn’t go to my game store anymore, I got back into Magic at the end of last year and I just keep finding cards I missed in OTJ and MKM!

Also can occasionally shuffle your own graveyard back to dodge graveyard exile or decking!

Glad to see this here, I’ve been brewing self-mill Esika’s Chariot built around God-Pharoah’s Gift and Dollhouse of Horrors, and this basically sent me down a lands route, both makes a big token and finds Lazotep Quarry!

You really put my (and I’m assuming many others’) feelings about this set(s?) into words. We’ve had many cards printed that ‘aren’t magic cards’ with the advent of UB and secret lairs and collectors product, and now we have a set that just doesn’t feel like a Magic set.

I think the 1st title is the funniest but might be not super parsable for people who don’t know what’s going on, the 3rd is the punchiest and very on brand, if I had any experience being a CC I’d be able to provide any insight as to what this means but alas

Look I hate the state of the game as much as the next guy but in what way are these changes not a buff? Gamblers now functions on non-melee focused builds at a lower stat requirement. Seems completely fine to me.

They also just cannot reprint these cards, so they climb to insane prices!
