Shoutouts FreeTube and PeerTube while I'm at it
Browser: Firefox all the way; most other browsers run WebKit and are under Google's influence. I use LibreWolf but vanilla Firefox with Betterfox is probably better ngl Search: I use SearXNG but Startpage is my go-to when that's not an option Email: I use Disroot for automated emails personally but Tuta might also be worth checking out idk Office suite: Store on Nextcloud if you can find/host a server (I am using Nextcloud Notes to write this), edit locally using LibreOffice (my choice tool) or OpenOffice (a clean alternative) Calendar: Some Nextcloud servers offer a calendar iirc

Having to adapt to losing Cohost
I search up “Hugo themes” and they all either look pretentious as shit or are otherwise things I’d feel bad using. fuck “I want to make a Hugo theme” I say having not done anything resembling proper web dev in god knows how long I should genuinely coax myself into doing real shit when I have the time because I imagine I will this semester because I’ve wanted to do anything for myself/whatever resume I’ll need to have ready in not that long for a while and I do think this is part of that but I also do realize while thinking of this that I struggle with web frameworks just because there’s a lot of shit I need to learn at once if I do it like this
