When my youngest son was 7 years old, he asked me, "Mom, who is Martin Luther King?"
"Son, he is a hero. He helped to change our nation and bring more freedom to a huge population of people."
"I want to be a hero, like him!" he said.
There are worse aspirations for a 7-year-old boy. He serves now.
