Concerned American, "Happily married with 5 adult kids and 5 grandkids, so please don't bother asking--this is not a dating site."
Coming soon! My niblings pieced the small squares for borders, so i'm gonna have em pick a quilting design and "help" me longarm it, as a gift for their mom. They'll be so proud!

Grand Canyon West is awesome! The Skywalk is 4,000 feet above the Canyon floor. Wish we'd paid more attention to time and got to do the Zipline.

Thought of you when I was freezing my sequins off for the 10th year in a row!

"Christians have always been on the right side of history!" is an actual statement made by an actual Christian defending her President. She dismissed me before I could ask what Christian credentials he holds, or if she'll support every action cuz she believes that he believes.

Once upon a time on Twitter, I debuted my Hershey's Kiss...and I've had fun in it for 10 - 12 years!

Mounted an endoscope to see the stitching on the back of the quilt as I longarm it, in order to catch poor tension or other errors sooner. #quiltsky #longarmquilting

Simple product for quick & easy finishing touch! 2 packages of iron-on shirring tape plus 12 total yards of 12-15"-wide fabric and adhesive Velcro made a lovely bedskirt for a full or queensize bed. (If using double-edged eyelet, only 6 yards needed.) #quiltsky #sewingsky #homedecsky

A fireplace screen with a layer of InsulBrite inside really helps to stop the draft. It's held in place with spring tension rods in hanging sleeves across the top and bottom. I made mine reversible for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

My first start-to-finish of 2025! This is that Amelia kit made from the Maeve fabric line from Moda. Plenty of fabric from the front to add the stars to the back (periwinkle yardage not included).

I camouflaged my trash can within a pretty laundry basket, and put it right where i need it, so i can just toss scraps straight in without making extra piles to deal with later.

I finished the piecing of the colorful part of this full-size quilt, and am working on the quilting part. Each phase is a long process!

I sew, so I have many seam rippers, most of them missing. I got a lovely handcrafted one on a necklace chain and was glad to have it handy...until I sat down and it stabbed my belly! "As ye sew, so shall ye rip!"
