I saw a snip of Cavill and someone else on a talk show but another guest asked him which faction he liked and Cavill said some kinda house, and the other guest said who they liked and all of the sudden the show just became Cavill and the other guy geeking out on Warhammer 40K. Lol

You will thoroughly enjoy the series. It will take some time to get through the series, but it is so worth it.

I know my one kid's appetite is not fantasy, so that's one who will not. The other might later down the road. We shall see.

I know reading WoT is hard. I've tried to get muly kids to read it. They both found it had to read because Jordan was extremely descriptive, and it was distracting to them.

The first time I read that book, I couldn't put it down. I think I've read that book 10 times. The last 7 times was waiting for Words of Radiance

I've read WoT many times. I understand your anguish. However, if you still want to know the story, try the audiobooks. It takes away some of the dry drone.

No, there's a lot to unpack in that book. Everything I reread that book, there's chapters I have to reread to get the full view because it's so nuanced and good.

Sci-fi is just science not yet figured out. I would suggest seeing the documentaries on Star Trek and the ties to real life inventions, such as cell phones. m.imdb.com/title/tt0814...
