Ideas needed! We're going to do a "Science on Screen" event and need a movie related to climate change and/or extreme precipitation (floods, droughts, storms). Want something kind of fun, though -- e.g., Day After Tomorrow, not Chasing Ice. What would YOU want to see on the big screen?!?!

We found that GPLLJ has a clear and consistent impact on Missouri River streamflow & that unusual jet conditions preceded historical warm-season flood events. Models project large increases in future moisture transport, a source of concern for precipitation-driven flooding in the Missouri River.

We used daily instrumental data to study connections between different types of jet events and precipitation, water vapor transport, streamflow, and flooding. We also looked at potential future GPLLJ changes using CMIP6 projections.
