If the U.S. is serious about ending the housing crisis, it will dismantle the revolving door between incarceration and homelessness.

It's time to put housing first instead of criminalizing vulnerable people for not having access to safe, stable, and affordable housing.

Mr. Graham is sentenced to serve 7 life sentences for non-homicide crimes, his first conviction as an adult. Sterling is currently serving his 20th year of incarceration. He will never be eligible for parole. This not only harsh but unfair and unusual punishment. Mr Graham has 4 co-defendants, all with the same charges but with various sentences. Two of the young men have been released, two others will be released soon. Sterling is the only one without a second chance at life. While I understand the judicial system and agree that punishment should come with committing crime, in this case, the sentencing is inconceivable. There are people with multiple murder convictions with lighter sentences. Where is the chance at redemption or to show proof of rehabilitation? Help correct this injustice. Write a letter, repost, let’s have a conversation. #ExcessiveSentencing #SecondChance
