"Thank You for your Patronage" is pretty off-putting after staring at it for 20 minutes because the ticket readers were broken and whoever was at the front of the cashier lane had some problem that took forever to resolve and all of this is literally just happening because airport wants more money.
The arm of the traffic control thingy you go through to leave a paid parking deck that says "Thank You for your Patronage" on it.

Picard responds, "aha! we've planned for this! all our conservative talk radio happens over subspace shortwave! and the deep dark subspace net!" Amending his instructions to Worf, Riker says, "just shoot his consoles." Picard says, "ah fuck." Picard smirks and says, "I identify as Captain Attack Helicopter now and you have to call me that our you're transphobic." He continues, "now I know we're all scared (and maybe a little aroused) by what trans women might have in their pants. could be dangerous. could be pie." LaForge, leaning back comfortably with his hands clasped, says, "Not really my business unless she tells me it is." Worf says, "No." Picard raises his eyebrows as he looks at LaForge and Worf, saying, "i know you're all thinking it." Riker says, "Worf, escort Mr. Helicoter here to the hangar brig." Picard exclaims, "Captain!" and Riker says, "No." Looking at Wesley Crusher, Picard says, "Wesley you'll never be a real man if you keep combing your hair like that." Wesley, grinning, says, "Actually, Crewman Picard, I'm nonbinary." Picard says, "you'll always be a man Wesley, nothing will ever change that. your chromosomes made you a man and nothing you can do will make you anything else." Wesley asks, "even my hair?" and Picard says, "i never said that, shut up." Picard sits in alone in the Captain's chair on the bridge of the Enterprise. He says, "this is Crewman Picard of the Confederation Podcast Truthseeker. my guest tonight, after she finishes the laundry which i can totally do myself i know how the machine works and understand folding things is my wife. we're going to talk about how the alphabet mafia are grooming our kids to identify as three possums in a trenchcoat." On the screen, Riker asks, "'grooming'? how old were you and your wife when you met?" Picard adopts a thousand yard stare as he considers what Riker said, then straight ahead and down as he gets Riker's point.

Honestly loving San Francisco, y'all. People here are so kind and the weather is perfect and THE WILDFLOWERS SMELL SO GOOD. I hope to come back here someday and see more of it when I'm not here primarily for my wife's surgery.

NEW HURR. A few inches off and an undercut for the warmer weather, plus highlights blended since it's been so long since fox hair. A more natural look feels good for now since I've been dealing with a lot and don't have the wherewithal to get it touched up as often as I should.

Because frankly, police tactics have changed (which I've heard directly from activists, and also, I highly recommend the book Policing Protest by Paul A. Passavant), and we can't count on the courts to protect us because that's so hit or miss. Nobody should be TRYING to get arrested right now.

I can't resist an intriguing historical fiction novel, and this one looked REALLY good. I've read the first three chapters in bed just now and trying to decide whether to stay awake to keep going. I haven't been this deeply engrossed in a novel in a long time.

Tonight I finally finished reading Devon Price's latest book (well, until his new one comes out next month), Unlearning Shame, and I can't recommend it enough. Dr. Price's books are so uplifting to read, and it's wonderful reading his anecdotes from his own life as a gay, trans, Autistic man. 🏳️‍⚧️❤️
