Very respectable result for Ray McHale from a standing start. He tweeted yesterday that they've knocked on every door in the ward. Labour's victory is a fairly hollow one, as their vote share fell by nearly 50%.

The movement is bigger than any individuals. It's been a painful, damaging week, but as with other local groups, we are very much alive and flourishing, and resolute in our determination to build a mass party of the left. Real change is coming.
