21 yrs ago… going thru a super hurtful divorce, working 80 hrs/wk in new state @ new job, away from every friend I’d ever known. Found this album & bought it, needing “new” music that wasn’t connected to her… this take of “Don’t Think Twice” made me a Dylan fan. Right time 4 it, I s’pose…

(Conc) … audiences would mistake the scenes as depicting a mixed race pairing. Also of interest is the final scenes, all shown with a blue tint to the B&W film- long missing from most prints as the tint was later removed for evoking the silent era. The blue tint is present in the Max print.

(Cont)… a white man had to be removed, leaving an obvious gap in the film, even tho a scene of Robeson murdering a black man was kept in. Scenes with Fredi Washington had to be reshot with her in dark makeup because it was feared she appeared too light skinned in the B&W film and … (conc)
