Given the abomination that is iOS 26's liquid ass design I'm not surprised he's jumping ship.

The government: we have an aging population, the pensions bill & associated costs are only going to get higher

Also the government: let’s actively discourage people from saving into private pensions!

Their incompetence is as wild as it is horrifying.

No, but then I don’t want to eat a chicken at all.

Love this idea. I’ve read many but many others still hold adventures yet to unfold. I don’t get a lot of reading time right now 😭 but this would make a great Bluesky feed or mailing list or something

Ah well I’m sure they’ll just trot out the tired “waa waa we inherited a mess from the Toooooories”. Yes, you did, now STFU and take some ownership.
November 26, 2025 at 6:21 PM
Fixing? They going to stop insisting everyone makes the web unusable with those cookie consent things now? That would be most welcome, but ultimately kinda small-fry.. :-/

Then again remember when the government wanted to ban encryption? 😆😆😆 they’re clueless idiots of then highest order.
November 17, 2025 at 6:36 PM
And the real issue is it pushes the very audience they’re claiming, falsely, to be looking to protect into less and less monitored, and less able to be monitored, ways of being online and actively encouraging them to learn how to hide the tracks and their traffic. That is so stupidly dangerous.
November 17, 2025 at 6:36 PM
Agreed wholeheartedly. Though it’s a cat and mouse game the government cannot win. Make VPNs illegal and we route them through Tor. Make Tor illegal (which would be abhorrent) and we use other methods to encrypt and hide traffic. Stupid thing is the harder they grip the less they have access to

highlights how technically illiterate the financial ecosystem is. blockchain does a few bad things:
- puts data and transactions out of your control
- to be effective it is horricbly inefficient use of power
- At a reasonable level of power usage it’s open to manipulation

Oh, it is deeply grim and worrying. And while it has hallmarks of how some dictator ships behave that the political system is responding with so many alternative parties coming up and that we can indeed vote these idiots out tells us it’s not an actual dictatorship thankfully

VPN usage jumped 1800% the day the online “safety” act came into effect. That’s not even hyperbole 😆 it’s such a stupid and damaging yet instantly bypassable measure.

It is FAR from a dictatorship and saying so hurts the argument. But Starmer has proven himself to be far worse than the simply incompetent I was expecting and is down-right malicious. I’d say about as much as the Tories before him, just slightly differently so. They can all get in the bin.

Add a purple one too 💜 Would love to see that gain more prominence too.
