I’m not sure Scorsese’s The King of Comedy was afforded a UK theatrical cinema release . I do recall recording it when , in 1984 , Channel 4 gave it a late night showing . I was amazed to hear a Van Morrison cut new to me over the closing credits . Finally found the LP 18 months later

one of those rare occasions that I can recall where I bought a specific record from , simply because Debenhams The Moor , Sheffield (yes it was they) priced it as a single LP and not the triple it is . It was purchased a couple of months after release in 1977
