and I do intend to make a hood out of the top layer fabric, so I can most likely just reuse the half circles

I only noticed I missed that when I went back to look at how they put the pieces together. They didn't.. but at least for the lining fabric, I did a bit more than a quarter circle, so each piece is r than a half circle and that gives me extra room to make it into a full one
