Tonight, I had one-third of a Yule Log for dinner and nothing else.

I will not be taking any further questions.

I captured this photo in 2018 of my son watching a Christmas steam train. I never thought it would turn into one of my favourite shots of him.

One of the things I love about photography is discovering those happy little accidents when editing.

I don't know what I've pressed on here, but 90% of my Discovery feed seems to be squirrel content.

What are folk's favourite quotes from a book? My absolute favourite is from Robin Hobb's Fools Fate.

'Sometimes it seems unfair that events so old can reach forward through the years, sinking claws into one's life and twisting all that follows it.

I love the fact that at 86, time hasn't dulled Ridley Scott's 'don't give a shit' attitude. He's made some classics, and some not so classics, but you can never class something he directed as uninteresting.

I'm a (very) amateur photographer, and you may find some of my photos here.

I took this of my wife walking in Sorrento. I spent the weekend stalking her with a camera so she felt like an influencer.

I love the leading line of her hat. I'd like to say it was planned, but I was just lucky.

I finished John Gwynne's latest book last night. I've noticed that in fantasy books, heroes always vow something by slicing their palms open with their blades, then carrying on with their day as if nothing happened. I had a paper cut on my thumb once. Left me out of action for hours.

I've always found it puzzling that in found-footage horror films, when the protagonists break into a Satanist's house, they always catch them in the middle of a ceremony. They're never just doing the hoovering or washing up.

Anyway. Hello.
