Four years ago today, we lost Officer William Evans in a vehicular attack at the Capitol. I’ll always remember this day and hearing the first radio call as we responded. Thinking of his family 💙

My mom and I at the Capitol, upper west terrace in the early 2000’s. She has been enduring deadly stage 4 cancer for almost two years now with remarkable strength and grace. To support my sister, and our family, and Dana Farber, please see below

I went skiing at Sugarbush this weekend and JD was there, and signs of resistance were all over. Every ski patrol I saw was wearing a pride flag pin

Four years ago. I remember taking this picture and feeling it just described how gray and desolate things felt. Yet the roses, 🥀 a glimmer of beauty and hope

My original drawing, on a print of the US Constitution. This sold almost immediately- I was so surprised, and am so thankful to everyone who’s supported me as an artist and beyond.

I would not be who I am today without my years with the Capitol Police, and my time at the Capitol. It was the experience of a lifetime and my honor to serve.

“We the People” my latest piece, pen and ink on print of the US Constitution.

Similar to a previous drawing I did on the Declaration, this I went darker to symbolize the risks to our Constitution ahead. Signed for the 4th anniversary of the Jan 6th attack.

We must remain undeterred to always do the right thing. That principle has guided me as an officer and beyond.

Five years ago, oh how time flies. I loved getting to volunteer at the annual Capitol Police Christmas event where underprivileged DC youth came to the Capitol for toys, time with Santa etc.

Throwback to working protests around the Capitol. Sometimes I arrested protesters where I agreed with their cause. But even if I didn’t, I was always respectful and always professional. I’m proud that as an officer I was fair and kind to people, even when they were disrespectful to me.
