while canon katsuki would use every opportunity to put deku down, I think in this au he couldn't bring himself to act prejudiced towards Izuku because that would give other people an opening to do so too. Katsuki hated him for being quirkless and pretentious, not for being a fucking omega. got it?

But Izuku finally started smelling sweet two years after Katsuki's presentation and the little alpha knew exactly what his friend would be. It was the best outcome possible! He and Izuku would become mates and then be hero partners once they grew up! Mated heroes, fated!!! the best there are!!

Izuku could even turn out to be an alpha and Katsuki would be fine with it. He'd fight Izuku for dominance and claim the position of better alpha and THEN claim Izuku as His alpha. Or even a Beta, which would make it a lot easier to just take Izu as his, since no one really cares for betas.

Katsuki definitely presented first, was praised by everyone around him for being a strong little alpha, and while Izuku took his sweet time to smell like anything at all, Katsuki... basically didn't really care about what Izuku would turn out to be. The end result would be the same still.

The first time Izuku forgot their nightly call–and dared to ignore Katsuki's messages–Katsuki got severely reprimanded by multiple pro heroes and the UA staff for blasting his way across the city to get to Izuku. Making a clean line in the clouds, lighting up the sky with frantic, short explosions.
