We are deeply moved by the unwavering efforts of firefighters, emergency responders, animal welfare organizations, and the resilient LA community during this ongoing and evolving crisis. While our continued efforts to relieve shelter crowding in Northern California limit our rescue facility's capacity to take in more rabbits at this time, we remain in contact with several animal welfare organizations to explore other ways we may be able to assist. We encourage you to support the following trusted organizations that are providing critical aid to rabbits, other animals, and the people who love them in the wake of the fires: @larabbitfoundation: An HRS chapter, their greatest need is for people who are able to foster long-term for rabbits from public shelters who are likely to be displaced in the coming weeks and months. They also need supplies to help support local shelters and individuals who have taken in rabbits from the fires. Find their Amazon wish list and donate at larabbits.org/donate. @bunnyluv_northhollywood: Another HRS chapter, they've been taking in evacuated rabbits and other small animals from the public. If you're in an evacuation zone and need a safe place for your rabbit, they can help. The best way to reach them is by emailing bunnyluv@bunnyluv.org or by sending them a DM on their Instagram or their Facebook. You can also support their efforts by donating at bunnyluv.org/help-us. You can also support the efforts of @pasadenahumane, which has taken in over 400 animals from the Eaton fire, including wildlife. They need monetary donations for medical supplies and fosters. All six of @laanimalservices' shelter facilities are at or over capacity, and they're asking for the public's help to adopt or foster so they can make room for lost pets. We don't make any money on tiktok, btw. I have before but now I just get pages of brand collab requests for tiktok shop. None of which revolve around animals lol.
