fossil fuels are a bit messed up.. like how are dead plants and animals from gazillions of years ago charging my vibrator?

Just advised my gf to take the reins in her punk band, remove the bad punk sounds, and add fun sounds instead. She nodded sagely.

I get monster fucking now. Basically women don't feel seen as full people, so they want another not-a-person to commiserate with who is also hot. Hot and understanding. Unfortunately sometimes the monster is just a monster though, and doesn't see women as full people either.

gonna complain about my roommate and lmk if I'm nuts. So.. his cats barfs in the morning. I have to clean it up or else it stains the floor. I slept in this morning so he barfed and it stained the floor. My roommate wakes up around 12-1pm, his preference. I don't think I should clean the barf.

what is the actual reason Ontarians hate colour and fun in their wardrobe... my partner and I are always called out usually positively for wearing colours. But like.. why don't other people if they seem to like it do it for themselves? I know black and grey are practical.. but all the time?

just emailed a clarinet choir to see if they will let me audition after working 12 hours straight on various explosion sfx. Dear god I need to be around people doing things like touching objects, seeing faces (intermittently, not constantly) etc.

my roommate keeps slightly moving my things. I'm concerned about this behaviour.

thinking today about the thing ppl say about conservatives, that they have a higher 'disgust response' or whatever.. And 1st of all, fuck you. 2nd of all - I feel disgust. I feel disgust over the abuse and murder and starvation of children and ppl all over the world. Why isn't that disgust relevant?

Have you seen the nyt article: 'should women have jobs?' What galls me the fucking most is that one of these traitors wrote a book called 'the dignity of dependence' All I can say is my entire life it has only been clear that men depend on women, not the other way around. Everyone depends on women.

I can't tell if I just have my period and am getting over 2 vaccines, or if I am actually the worst most loser-y person alive. Hard to tell.

Just asked my gf if I was spending too much on a week vacation we're taking this winter and she said no, I am spending a normal if not less than normal amount. Something about being a millennial maybe makes me feel like both spending AND saving money is a mistake that I will never recover from.

I remember being at NAMM 2017 arguing with software designer guys that AI would be a disaster that would probably harm women, children, poorer ppl the most. Their argument was that as a woman I would benefit because I could do interpersonal irl feelings based work. Hahaha. I dislike being right.

I feel like not a lot of ppl seemed to be that into it when it came out, but I still love the heck out of brand new cherry flavour, just an amazing horror series from 2021.

fascists don't care about irony, satire, moral stance on an aesthetic, so if you are an artist it is a bad idea to ironically create/collage an aesthetic/vision of domination - like star ship troopers etc., and expect fascists to care. They are just horny for the exciting look you created for them.

when someone says something isn't in the budget, they are lying.. ok ok with some exceptions like if you've already spent the money ha, but if it is before you have the money or decided what to do with it, what they are saying is - I don't want to spend $ on that. At your job, politicians, etc.

hmm maybe going through a slight manic episode. The good news - I will make some fun art maybe! the bad news - I will start crying while jogging in a not very quiet way.

Like I think that's enough actually, and the only way to proceed now is to call a real cab/ride my bike, get my movies at the library/ theatre, buy a magazine/newspaper. I think I've got to become the 1992 version of myself because this is exhausting and awful and I do not wish to go forward, thks.

I uhhh. don't think I get it. Is anybody actively choosing to live in this terrible world these creeps are making? Does anybody really want to use 'friend' or whatever the fuck? www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

Also in Brazil - the Tuttle character - just a guy who wants to do something well for other people, like teachers, parks workers etc. being criminalized as dissidents. Ya.. worth a rewatch. Also the sets and sound design and props are completely incredible..

just watched Brazil - Terry Gilliam, last night and the parallels to current day US are striking. I don't think they are fascist enough and cruel enough to start charging people for their own kidnappings, torture, and incarceration/deportation just yet.. but who knows!

ai art is so bad.. like honestly there were artists previously who were trying to use it in interesting ways - for example as a way to process and rework their own art - and now it's just like - oh hey here's a cartoon naked lady.

It's the time of year when I really miss walking along the Rideau & Ottawa river. It is so beautiful there you have no idea. Ontario kind of looks like a greyish brown parking lot covered in wet grey slush that somehow costs 2 million dollars for most of the year, but damn that place is gorgeous.
