I am passionate about plant evolutionary ecology, biodiversity, and sustainability. Actively seeking graduate research opportunities to explore how ecological and genetic factors shape plant adaptation and conservation.
Thank you for sharing this work! I’ll be reading through it and will be glad to share my thoughts afterward.

The complexity of it all, especially the indirect fitness effects and the genetic constraints, just makes the study so fascinating. Thank you for putting this out there.

The part about glucosinolate investment being heritable but not giving a direct fitness advantage was honestly surprising. It made me reflect on how evolution doesn’t always favor traits that seem beneficial at first glance.

Hello Prof. Robert Colautti,
I finally found the time to finish reading your recently published paper, “Direct and indirect fitness effects of plant metabolites, and genetic constraints, limit evolution of allelopathy in an invading plant”, and I just have to say it really left me thinking.

I’ve taken some iBiology courses, such as Build Your Research Community and Let’s Experiment: A Guide for Scientists Working at the Bench, and have studied various BES guides. I’m actively searching for ways to build my research skills and further my knowledge in these areas.
