i love this line so much... because it IS literal, they do bury skyquake as we see later on in the shadowzone episode. it says so much about the current state of the autobots that they're willing to give their enemy that honor... makes me wish dreadwing knows about this little kind act

it would have probably been too much for the animators to make a whole other model for skyquake to differentiate between his pre-earth alt mode and now taking on the form of a jet... it's clear they're on a tight budget for this show in terms of modelling the robots

i can't help it, his mid-air transformations are always the best. he always lets go freely and then transforms, while megatron has more force in his transformation even if he maintains the same elegance

it's weird that optimus says skyquake doesn't have an alt-mode?? like where did his cybertronian alt-mode go?? it's probably something the writers forgot about, this ep as a whole feels messy in some places, like this point and fowler appearing out of nowhere later

i should make a counter for how many times optimus tries to preach to decepticons in here. though, it's kinda sad that it's got to this point where they're so close to extinction yet refuse to stop fighting

on the other hand, i really love ratchet being a realist and the one to always challenge optimus' optimistic, sometimes unrealistic, expectations in the show as a whole. but even then, he recognizes that he's overstepped here and apologizes instantly when seeing that optimus needs a moment to grieve

this is one of my favorite scenes in the show! despite being early on and the writers still teetering with the lore and backstory, just the small touches with the facial animation can tell you how much optimus is grieving megatron

this show is chock-full of jaw dropping scenes, but this one stays at my top 5. I remember how shocked I was to see it for the first time last year, such a good way to captivate an audience and make them stick to the show
