September has always been one of my favorite times of year! It’s my birthday month, and while I don’t have any specific traditions, I love celebrating with friends and making memories through different experiences.

These attacks are more than political, they're personal. They’re designed to strip away our rights, silence our voices, and make it harder for LGBTQIA+ people, especially trans and nonbinary folks, to live openly and safely. Hi, that's me if you weren't aware, my friends, my community.

Across the United States, a wave of anti-trans legislation is being pushed forward, not just to restrict healthcare or education, but to try and erase trans people (especially trans youth) from public life altogether.

As a queer creator, I believe art and community go hand-in-hand, and right now, that community needs our support more than ever.

I’ve spent so many nights curled up with a fantasy or scrolling through fanfic, completely lost in a story from those creatives who expand on existing universes or all new worlds with full lives and stories we get to experience. Okay, I'll stop gushing for now, haha.

It was one of the first moments I realized characters could reflect pieces of someone in real life, even if I didn’t have the language for it yet and forgot about that key piece until I was a teenager.

Driving a motorcycle and being effortlessly cool? ...Well that part wasn't me, but I definitely looked up to them! Tiny me was like, “I don’t know what this is, but that's awesome they aren't a girl.” (I had limited language back then, bare with me).

Online, the connection is quieter, but just as meaningful. I still do the happy wiggle from my little corner studio… or let’s be honest, probably while curled up in bed or lounging on the couch. Either way, thank you for making those moments possible.
