Having finally beat the game, sonic Frontiers was... I wanna say okay but in all fairness I needed someone to teach me exploits and strategies. The payoff in the end felt anticlimactic for a boss fight even though it was an end of the world level climax.

I tried I really did but like... ugh I keep hearing it's peak and I keep waiting for peak but I'm multiple islands in, I keep having to collect chaos emeralds which makes zero sense to me, I keep having to fight giant creatures that have no business in a sonic game

Uncommon take, but sonic Frontiers is mid. So mid, in fact, that I still haven't beat it. Honestly, the only thing that kept me interested was the story, but forcing ridiculous side missions with that gameplay is not it. Like genuinely, I keep trying to give it more chances, but it just isn't fun
