The book is sooo depressing in the best way. The very subdue voice of the narrator is doing the rest.

It wears its musical hat proudly and dosent shy away from going all in with the musical over the topness and I appreciate that emensly

Oh thats refreshing to hear! Season 2 and 3 felt like they desperatly wanted to be Game of Thrones, but with only 7% of the interesting characters and story arcs that went nowhere.

Do you know about bubble fireworks?
You arrange 50-100 candles in some pattern outside. Stars work best. And blow bubbles over them. They rise with the heat and each reflects the candles in a rainbow hue, which looks magical.
Ideal as a quiet activity at outdoor parties.
