This is a terrible year, but at least I was home from the BBQ on a clear night to see, for the first time in 19 years in this apt, a clear view of the East River NYC fireworks. Nothing else is aligned, but maybe there is hope.

My 89-yr-old dad had major surgery today. He’s ok, but next few weeks/months will be rough on my family. Can’t go to bar because I’m constantly fielding calls. Long day, grateful to now be home, and one of these was on hand. 🍸 ID as frazzled as I feel.
