Democracy is under threat. Few would disagree. One threat not discussed- scarce, reliable, easily accessible news and current events. It isn’t a shortage of news; rather it is mostly locked away behind ever more expensive pay walls that stand in the way of free and open dialogue and harm democracy.

@mark-carney.bsky.social It's incredible to think how powerful the fossil fuel lobby has become. Even our Federal government isn't immune, including our Prime Minister. Secret meetings with Alberta? Oil tankers in Hecate Strait? Arguing it's 'in the interests of Canadians'? Ludicrous!
