Essex county is still showing 225/230 precincts reporting - I imagine we are waiting for those remaining 5 as well?

15 Years after Christie cancelled the previous project. Really sucks how Republicans continue to actively work to make NJ commuters' lives worse
February 6, 2026 at 3:39 PM
Definitely premature
February 6, 2026 at 3:29 AM
Bloomfield was 1265-178 Election Day
February 6, 2026 at 3:05 AM
Bloomfield came in - 1265-178 in Election Day vote
February 6, 2026 at 3:04 AM
There it is
February 6, 2026 at 3:01 AM
Same day in Essex is in Bloomfield, where she cleaned up on early votes (unlike elsewhere in the county)
February 6, 2026 at 2:59 AM
Waiting for the last Essex drop - I wouldn’t be surprised if she nets 1000 from it
February 6, 2026 at 2:52 AM
The last Essex drop is going to be heavily Mejia
February 6, 2026 at 2:50 AM
I think he’ll probably win, but maybe a tad premature?
February 6, 2026 at 2:41 AM
She beat Malinowski there 2-1 in early voting, and most of the remaining precincts in Essex are there
February 6, 2026 at 2:37 AM
Waiting to see how many votes Mejia nets from Bloomfield E-Day
February 6, 2026 at 2:35 AM
619-303 heads-up
February 6, 2026 at 2:30 AM
Bloomfield Election Day is still out. She won early votes there 600-300
February 6, 2026 at 2:29 AM
I mean…Bloomfield E-day is still out. And she won current tallied votes there 600-300 against Malinowski
February 6, 2026 at 2:27 AM
Bloomfield hasn’t reported Election Day yet - expect significant strength for Mejia there
February 6, 2026 at 2:20 AM
No worries! That makes me feel better that I’m not missing something obvious
February 5, 2026 at 10:31 PM
Where are the updated numbers coming from? Searched the county elections websites and couldn’t find the source, but I often struggle with NJ gov websites

Yard signs in Maplewood - mostly Mejia, some Malinowski, tiny bit of Gill. Many residents not happy with TC members’ endorsement
February 5, 2026 at 7:58 PM
And they’re spending money telling people that Malinowski isn’t anti-ICE. Line up that mailer next to Mejia’s mailer calling to abolish ICE, and it could push some voters who knew his name and would’ve voted for him to switch to her
February 5, 2026 at 4:29 AM
Far far more Mejia signs than anything else in SOMA, but I recognize this is not representative of the district.
February 5, 2026 at 4:26 AM
They’re probably not representative of the electorate, but it’s a special primary on a Thursday in February. If someone is swayed by the Malinowski ICE funding ads because they’re anti-ICE, only Mejia has had truly forceful mailers calling for abolishing ICE
February 5, 2026 at 4:25 AM
Living in NJ11, the amount of anti-Malinowski mailers and online advertising is unlike anything I’ve ever seen. Have had multiple friends not paying close attention comment that they may vote for him just because of the ridiculous amounts of negative advertising.
February 5, 2026 at 4:22 AM
Today he DID sign a terrible bill effectively banning E-Bikes, though.
January 20, 2026 at 5:17 AM
Really disappointed that Maplewood TC, and Dafis, all endorsed Gill. Gross and so out of touch with MW residents.
