She mentioned something I've been wondering, what happens when they break down a door with an armed home owner on the other side. Lives are already being destroyed, but someone is going to die over this stupidity.

I fully believe, if the RVO was eliminated, as well as regulations capping renewables were eliminated, we would use more than we are now. like in Brazil.

But its not a direct government subsidy. Which is what this article was about.

Also, by limiting sales to only 10%, and needing waivers to sell E15, they are mandating 85% gas, which I would argue is a direct subsidy oil.

Just allow me to use whatever blend I want and let the market decide

ha no. The first trump admin was $28 billion in handouts by itself. And the RVOs do not actually cost the government money. That money is straight up govt welfare for farmers. And trump is bragging about wanting to do it again.

If they want to reshore products shouldn't this be exactly what they want? To encourage you to buy American? The fact that they're mad means they know they screwed up.
April 29, 2025 at 1:15 PM
Yeah, at least not for most of us. But what about mining? Or power generation?
April 18, 2025 at 5:10 PM
OK but maybe he just wants to make sure he has an endless supply of hats....

At this point, at least in the midwest, most annual renewals are completed. Now we just have to ride it out.

No, and you shouldnt. Its just to point out toxicity is relative and as always the dose makes the poison.
March 6, 2025 at 7:02 PM
Yes. In other words less toxic than salt.

I don't have a lot of faith that things are going to change when he reiterated that he fundamentally doesn't understand the basics of tariffs

But they're worried about tax rates for rich people cause you know they're one lottery ticket away from the good life....
February 27, 2025 at 5:40 PM
All of this is painful to watch. But its real hard to not just let apathy take over right now while they go through this FAFO phase with the hopes that it turns into such a disaster an entire generation will realize this is why we don't elect uninformed bozo's to positions of power
February 27, 2025 at 5:37 PM
Oh yeah, me and some other bored summer researchers back in college printed what looked like warning labels and hung them by all of the water fountains informing everyone that they were known to contain DHMO for a day. The chem department caught on pretty quick, but bio didn't think it was funny
