I was checking ADSBx and noticed there are NO aircraft above 47,000'. I have a 50k filter and normally see a few HABs or newer private jets. But its just a whole lot of nothin today.

An NC-135 is up 😮 From the wiki, it looks like this one does Astronomy missions as well. Looking for space debris perhaps?

Stratolaunch is up over the Mojave / Eastern Sierra. Do you feel the need? The need, for SPEED 🚀✈️

I was checking out their news and I'm guessing some hyper-sonic R&D. Pretty neat :) check it out:

'Mornin Aviators 😎✈️ The KC-135U (as in Uniform) is up!
The OG of flying signal stations — an airborne comms & ELINT platform that’s basically a wireless observatory with wings.
You can imagine I’m a fan. 😉

Seaplanes are having a moment. Why: water access, no pavement needed.

Roles: SAR, fire ops support, storm-chasing, remote cargo/medevac, science & mapping.

The HU-16, Goose, and Mallard wrote the book; we’re updating the chapters. What amphib do you want covered next? #Seaplane #WindandWireless
