Not to give MSB ideas or anything. But playing as devils advocate, Sr has good ties with Audi in rallying, Jr is on the grid and has had 'relations' with RB, Ferrari and Williams. MSB would only need to spin that Sr won't be impartial with Audi coming in.
(As myself I'd prefer Sainz Sr over MSB)

It is not that strange of a comment, but it could be a hint towards new owners if they do end up selling out. 'If you buy this team, you can get rid of either driver and slot in your own'. Though I will admit I don't know much about team sales to know if that info is valuable

Kimi could indeed have won if McLaren was more reliable. But it is what it is. There are quite a few drivers who would have been more successful if only X happened.
