If you enjoyed my post and came here looking for more, I'm sorry to say it was probably a fluke. But I'm flattered anyway!

If you didn't enjoy my post, my bio won't fix it. Sorry again :(

Pronouns any/any just don't switch them mid-convo it confuses me
I found that while looking for a source and tbh that's probably the most offensive and least authoritative way to work that into her lore, so I chose to disregard it

Now technically speaking, Samus is confirmed to be trans, but canonically she's only confirmed trans species. She identifies as Human but her DNA has been augmented with Chozo and Metroid DNA, which makes her interspecies.

There's no confirmation either way about whether she's transgender or not.

I knew Birdo is canonically trans, I just thought the manuals from the original Metroid NES game described Samus as male because the instruction manual writers did not get to the reveal of the person inside the suit being a woman (and assumed the badass bounty hunter must be a man, because sexism)

I feel like I might be missing the joke here

This is such a flawed line of reasoning that I genuinely cannot tell what she's thinking.
If you recognize that the overwhelming majority of the public recognizes Israel's genocide of Palestinians for the irredeemable act that it is, how does that not translate to reflection of your own beliefs?

I think a loss of TN-7 next week could be as earthshattering as the elections a few weeks ago.

You then have some House of Cards scenarios that would end GOP control. Wildcard: Motion to Vacate the chair requires 8 GOP'ers to sign-on, not just one person under prior rules packages.

Mamdani's meeting with Trump accomplished exactly two things.

It defused the bulk of the threat of federal retaliation towards New York for electing a socialist mayor.
And it disarmed the media of most of attacks they can wage against Mamdani that are based in identity rather than policy.

And solar power is what allows plant life to sequester carbon dioxide by turning it into oxygen and glucose (which eventually becomes lignin as the plants use up glucose to grow). So blocking sunlight will probably make the environmental catastrophe accelerate even if it slows the warming for a bit.

I'm not sure what's so hard for these snowpiercer motherfuckers to understand about the notion that decreasing the energy input from the sun would cause more problems than decreasing the energy dissipation from planetary thermal radiation ever could.

We need more heat out, not less heat in.

Mamdani is the Bizarro Trump. Similar in enough ways to fit the same archetype (populist politician with rhetoric that spurs more of a social revolution than political) but they're complete opposites in all the ways that determine their character and efficacy.

Keeping in mind that CISA is an improvement on the old arrangement of having the NSA offer all the Cybersecurity training to the rest of the government, and it didn't exist before 2018, the idea of "returning it to its former agency" isn't really applicable.
November 22, 2025 at 7:15 AM
I think CISA should be an independent legislative organization in the same manner as the GAO, not an agency of DHS. And any non-intelligence federal executive cyber considerations should fall under the DoE because that's infrastructure.

But CISA should still exist, with plenty of funding.
November 22, 2025 at 7:13 AM
I think we could stand to keep CISA around too, I'd rather not expose our entire government to cyber attacks while we're in the middle of dismantling it from the inside out

Isn't it wonderful living in a world where multiple independent accusations of sexual assault get dismissed because the victims "might be making it up to get attention"

Meanwhile these charges are being brought on zero evidence other than what a single officer claims he thought he overheard. Right.
