This was much more of a smaller scale oil painting on canvas paper. This was a white on life set up still life aside from the tree branch. I noted that I saw more blues and green that took up the shadow shapes of the piece.

This is one of those previous attempts at drapery. This was a single class period piece. I like the refracting of the light but the drapery and the cloth on the wall start to blend into each other. It is a love and hate relationship with how this piece turned out.

More recent painting from my painting from observation class, the pumpkin piece is the most recent and I enjoyed how the drapery of the cloth came out. Usually, that is something that I tend to struggle with given previous attempts. The hallway piece I'm proud of given the atmospheric perspective.

Some of my painting from observation works. The painting is about shallow space and working with patterns. They pushed the idea of seeing colors in spots you wouldn't expect The collage is looking from my bedroom towards the hallway. This general composition will be an eventual painting we will do.

The first couple weeks of my Painting from Observation class, it was a mixture of both collage and charcoal drawings that delt with using two values in total. The collages could have had more than 2 values, but I felt only using two values provided a challenge to figure out what to keep in and out

This was one of my latest portraits was Mick Foley. The density of his hair was really fun to draw as well as the more squinted nature of eyes with his smile in this reference picture.

Some of my recent paintings, the first is oil on canvas while the larger 30 x 40 in piece is mostly acrylic and gesso on canvas. These were the last paintings I worked on before the start of this fall semester.

Latest two oil paintings. One is more washed based with how its background is setup. The other one is allows the texture of the canvas to show through along with more flat applied paint.

The first painting is more bright and inviting with its pinks and yellows while the second painting is more claustrophobic with the yellow blocks slowly surrounding the main figures

My most recent portrait drawing was of Vince McMahon. I was having issue with the eyes given how the slight variation in there size and the slight misalignment that they have.

Some practice sketches from my figure drawing class. One pose is seated on a stool while the other is seated on the ground.

These most recent oil paintings I wanted try working in primarily wash. The first one being a more strawberry red color depicting a hiking trail with a trees and bushes. The other piece is more cold in comparison with a frosty landscape that is slowly but surely melting.

Very topical drawing of Hulk Hogan I did in charcoal lol

Decided to do another wrestling character portrait. This time I did the Undertaker. His portrait was fun to do give then unlight and shadows the the hat creates.

This sketch was from my figure drawing class I am taking over the summer. This lesson was about drawing the clothing on figures.

Did some more work with impasto. One with more thicker lines to form a grid while another piece's impasto and its grooves are exemplified with the dry brushing of the acyclic.

The first image i started with dotting in different shades of red and pink as well as the washed out white lines. It almost is reflective of red blood cells in a way. The second image I experimented with strips of impasto alongside solid strips of flat applied paint.

I enjoyed the late application of gesso I applied over the red and blue to almost give off an intense snow storm.

With this piece, I was originally going to stick with the bundles of wires look without the eyes. But as I played around with it, I enjoyed the slightly eerie feel that it gave off. Almost like they were sentient hiding in plain sight.

I really enjoy the complete tone shift from my two recent oil paintings. The first one is more cold, dark, and has a type of night time glow with the head at the bottom. Then with the second one it is a complete opposite, a bright autumn color scheme that is more warm and comforting in comparison.

This was an instance of wanting to pull out shapes from my marks like the skull shape. Weirdly enough, my mind then went to cave paintings of humans with spears given how weathered the color looked. What came from it was a group of figures with spears ready to attack the much larger skull.

I enjoyed how the brighter hues of the acrylics made the image pop while the gesso marks cooled down this mostly warm image. So I thought of making dry brush gesso border around it it gives off a frosted look. I enjoyed how it can appear as both something is defrosting or it is being frosted over.

Towards the end of making this piece, I had created this fence like pattern with the outlined boxes in white. I enjoyed how they almost appeared as windows to an almost dystopian backdrop with more abstract building layouts.

I wanted to practice what I had learned with my portraiture class. So I decided to do a portrait of John Cena. I was told while taking the class to embrace my own stylistic approach rather that one to one. Aside from maybe the hair not being exact, I'm overall happy with how it turned out.

This piece i wanted to mess around with a limited pallet that is more floral in terms of the colors. I enjoy the grassy shrub look the colors presented but didn't know who to further push that idea. So in this case, the figures outlines were more wavy to represent grassy shrubs.
