Is the best option for EPL clubs to just pay an annual fee to get first dibs on players or something similar? That way the academy gets investment and clubs don’t have the headache of managing an external/long distance academy or headache of an extra 100 youth players

With Right to Dream they we’re committed to going over and spending years to do it, it takes a special kind of person that’s willing and able to do it properly

Is the barrier more then that existing staff maybe don’t want to commit to years building experience/relationships away from top leagues as “harms” their career being in not top5 leagues and to upskill natives takes years to get to the required level and might not come off?

If a club did that would it immediately skew the market? Just thinking of a club setup an academy, they pull all the best players and then they just destroy the other teams harming overall output? Also, lack of wider infrastructure is possibly a risk/concern in some areas

I think that’s dependent on outgoings I.e. Miggy tbh. Him, Wilson, Tripps and Longstaff will be the ones we’ll be trying to move on given they’re the only ones that would fetch a fee and aren’t key for the future
