I think my last one was probably the Index shoot :)

I’ve got to fire it up tonight and see if I’m hearing it or if it’s between me and Vinny. I usually keep my game audio down a bit but it’s also possible I whacked a setting on my mixer and moved it out of phase.

Wait, is the Simpsons “I wore an onion on my belt” thing an actual old folk remedy?

That game has two mind bending levels. The clockwork mansion is perfect and the time travel level is amazing.

The price of freedom is eternal vigilance.

$1200 to $2800 for me.

If you have a medium shield and almost any gun, PVP against people who have free load outs is really easy. Most of the people who have attacked me were running free load outs.

I think it's a better game solo than squads, but that's because of the community atm. If everyone goes "shoot on sight" it'll be less fun.

Every one of these people should be primaried at the earliest opportunity

I’m just not a fan, ok?

And be asking you for your papers on every corner.

I used to work for a publisher that kept a magazine that was a very marginal business open because Bill Gates was a regular reader.

That’s what WaPo has become. Sure, they have circulation. But the only reader who matters is Bezos.

The benefit of the Daft Punk Fortnite thing introducing my kiddo to Daft Punk is that we’ve listened to that soundtrack a LOT lately.

It must be nice to live someplace that they prosecute former politicians when they are corrupt.

Just to be clear, the in network copays are high too. $60/visit, with different rates for labs, urgent care, and ER visits.

This same plan was ~$1400/month this year.

We pulled my daughter from our school district due to this and some other stuff that’s unrelated. We’ve found incredible teachers on Outschool who aren’t engaging with the AI nonsense and are doing incredible work across the board. Everyone seems much happier, teachers, kids, and parents.

I think Trump is just fundamentally unable to understand the basic human experience of “going to the store to buy groceries” or “not having enough money”. The fact that he managed to fool 70M people into voting for him will never be anything other than terrifying to me.

If the rates stay like this, I’ll pay almost half a million dollars almost before I’m eligible for Medicare, it’s ridiculous. $40k a year pays for a lot of doctors visits at the dramatically reduced cash pay rates.

It’s expensive to the point that if we just do cash pay medical services and have hospitalization we’ll end up with better care at a fraction of the cost.

At my current insurance rates, the cash pay price for a MRI is looking like a bargain.
