Another woman, Christine Marie Bill, was found dead in a hot, sealed car outside her care agency, according to a police report. Her caretakers were supposed to check on her every 15 to 30 minutes, but she'd reportedly been there for about six hours when she was found. (8/10)

Houle's tragic mistreatment, which involved daily beatings, psychological abuse and more, (according to police reports) says a lot about this system. Below is his gruesome abuse and in following posts of this thread are some red flags and systemic breakdowns the state missed: (4/10)

I got my hands on state records that showed 119 people died in this system's care from 2023 through June 2025. Additionally, the state investigated 1,405 complaints of abuse, neglect, and exploitation in that time; 467 were deemed credible after investigation. (3/10)

THREAD: When Lucas Houle, who has intellectual and developmental disabilities, was pinned to the ground and beaten by his own caretakers, he screamed, “Please stop, don’t beat me up.” His story and others are told today in "A System of Harm," an investigative series by me. (1/10)

State officials have also proposed cost cutting measures for Medicaid. The state budget also mandates that some Medicaid recipients pay a premium for their coverage and increases prescription co-pays in New Hampshire. #NHPolitics (6/8)

However, the One Big Beautiful Bill Act impacts Medicaid in several ways. In all, it’s expected to revoke roughly 15% of the state’s federal Medicaid spending and remove between 17,00 and 29,000 Granite Staters' health coverage, per KFF analysis. #NHPolitics (5/8)
