Just caught One Battle After Another. Sensational. A movie that doesn’t relent throughout. Award-winning turns from Leo + Penn. Outrageous soundtrack. Action, comedy, emotion, sharp social commentary of where we heading.

PTA auteur’ing without limits.

Film of the year without doubt.

In Nico Jover we trust. GOAT.
36 - Arsenal scored their 35th and 36th goals from corners in the Premier League since the start of the 2023-24, which is now 15 more than any other side in this period (21 for Chelsea and Tottenham). Unstoppable.

That’s why we watch the football, gang 😘

That’s some win for the #Arsenal.

Deserved but always a very difficult place to find goals. Especially after conceding.

Substitutes adding the finishing touches. Merino back at SJP, and the Ø showed his class.

Gabriel is a monster in the BIGGEST of games.

MASSIVE for the belief. This race is on.

#2 Licorice Pizza. Dir: Paul Thomas Anderson

Nothing like the grandiose worlds of intrigue that PTA typically builds, incredibly pared back but still entirely entrancing and alluring.

Watched 2 fabulous films over the weekend! 🍿🎬🎥

#1 - Queer. Dir: Guadagnino.

Queer is essential viewing. Although a little muddled in parts, a little indulgent too from Guadagnino. But certainly profound and emotional and such a vivid, fantastical creation. His use of colour is sensational.

Some musings on yesterday's game after my thoughts have settled:

- Everybody needs a story! Not entirely sure our approach warrants such criticism. We were missing our #10, our star attacker, Havertz and then also Big Bill. It was the 3rd game of the season, away from home, at the Champions.

Just when the window was slipping away, Big Boss Berta pulls this rabbit from his fancy hat.

Eze, Saka, Madueke, Martinelli, Nwaneri + Dowman feels like pure sauce. Options galore.

Feels like Sol 2.0.

Eze #10
August 20, 2025 at 7:32 PM
Tottenham finally hire a suitable manager and they immediately make appropriate moves in the window. Was it really so hard to get here?

Add a few more along these lines, they’ll become a real threat, and that, my friends, is annoying!

Sunderland doing major bits.

Perhaps the only strategy available to attempt avoiding the drop. After the recent yo-yo of most promoted teams, you have to admire the bravery.

Brentford, Bournemouth and Forest are being systematically dismantled at the top table of elite football.

The breathtaking financial power of the top teams in full flow.

After outrageous seasons, it’s back to the drawing board.

A big FAT YES to #Madueke.

If Arteta, Berta + Co think so, I’m all in.

He’s a chaos merchant and, if combined with Eze + a #9, provides us with full coverage across the front line, inc. the #10.

We’d finally have a Saka rotation too.

Only drawback is game time for Nwaneri. Perhaps a loan?

Rachel Reeves showing emotion proves only one thing. She has major courage. She leads her portfolio with integrity and is passionate about the outcomes.

She should be lauded. Not pilloried.

She’s a trailblazer, being the first female to hold such office. And against an incredibly tight backdrop.

Beautiful. The magic of #Glasto

Well done lad 👊
Lewis Capaldi makes an emotional return to Glastonbury, two years after not being able to finish his last performance due to Tourette syndrome.

RAYE is a total queen.

A proper #Glasto effort 👏

Mosquera and Norgaard are precisely the sort of players we need. Quality squad filler.

One’s an EPL captain with superb stats.

The other is a novice (albeit w/ 2 La Liga seasons behind him) with huge potential.

+ Kepa.

Superb work from Berta, Arteta & Co.

Now it’s onto the #9 and LW

Exciting
June 26, 2025 at 7:32 PM
Busy times at London Colney!

One might assume the flurry of activity for largely supporting positions suggests we’ve arrived at an expectation on who the #9 and possibly the LW will be.

I’m thinking Šeško and Eze.

A summer dalliance chasing Rodders seems futile given need to assemble soon!
June 26, 2025 at 7:16 PM
Yet another market opportunity. Feels like Partey is heading out and powder being kept firmly dry for attacking reinforcements.

With Zubi effectively replacing Thomas, Norgaard would be a very effective replacement for Jorginho. Huge EPL experience, leadership and a superb player to boot.

Nice.
June 25, 2025 at 12:20 PM
Nwaneri was arguably the best player vs 🇨🇿 as a substitute.

He needs to start from here on in.

Could / should light that tournament up.

Pretty certain we don’t need an external solution for a Saka rotation. Go big on LW and give Nwaneri LOTS of minutes.

Not sure the #Gyokeres stuff is to be believed. Feels like more negotiation tactics to move the #Sesko project along.

I’m fairly confident we’ll pay what’s needed for Benny Sesko if Leipzig maintain their position. But when dining at the top table, it’s all strategy.

Patience.

Leroy Sane took the best deal (by some margin) on the table whilst maintaining UCL football. It’s his last major contract (possibly, although who knows with 🇸🇦).

We couldn’t compete. Our wage structure is a precious system. For a reason. And we have bigger targets.

Woulda been fun but we move.
