But times change, and I feel like I'm ready for a new chapter and a new challenge. I can't quite say where I'm ending up yet, but trust that I'm not quite ready to leave tech behind. I've loved this stuff too much for too long to fully say goodbye.

Over the last 3 years, I got to go to CES, MWC, and countless phone launches, and I met some of my very best friends along the way. Daniel and I rebooted the AP podcast alongside Jules and Ara, which felt like a special slice of tech podcast weirdness for an audience just like me.

AP was quite literally a dream job of mine. I first joined the site over four years ago as a news writer, back in the David Ruddock days. 7 months later, I was a full-time news editor, and less than a year after that, Daniel Bader and James Peckham promoted me to Phones Editor.

Somehow I haven't even ran into that one! This is all like, core iOS shit, some of it is generations old and it's just compounding. There's a BAD autocorrect bug I've been complaining about with other reviews for literal YEARS now

I have an entire rant tee'd up in the 16e review I'm finishing tomorrow. Not a day goes by where I don't wanna throw this thing in a river lmao

iOS 18 jank is so, so much worse than Pixel jank at this point
