Fair point, but how many people live in other kinds of places where their drive is not directly connected to their house? It's very difficult to charge at home in those situations.

We're also talking about ways to get more engagement with electric vehicles, so surely should be looking at all options to make it easier...

That's not really a fair comparison. It takes 5 minutes to fill up with fuel, much longer to charge an EV.

No point having an electric car if there's nowhere nearby that you can charge it. They need to look at changing planning permission for places where parking is not directly next to the house.
