Building a tractor and selling it is not a use for the tractor, mining Bitcoin and selling it is not a use for Bitcoin. Imagine if they were using that energy for something that was actually useful rather than a cyber-ponzi scheme.

This isn't a "use" of Bitcoin. You could build a dam and find actually productive uses for the electricity.
