Also for the record I'm not a Jacob Eldori stan or some nonsense like that (him playing Heathcliff still infuriates me) I just love Frankenstein & hate the undying misconceptions about it (the creature's not dumb, the creature's not ugly, Victor isn't like 100 years old & isn't a doctor yet, etc)

Bizzarely enough though that review actually has encouraged me to check out the new film since very few adaptations seem to bother adapting the creature (or Victor for that matter) properly, only one I can think of that actually got most things right was the Hallmark miniseries in 2004.
