So lately with the BIG changes in social media and its slight regression, I've noticed something interesting in how people navigate some sites like Bluesky, Pillowfort, even Tumblr sooooo... Lets talk about Reposts vs. Likes !! White background, black text, small clown doodle in lower left corner.

What are reposts and what are likes? Why are they even important? Reposts, or shares, retweets, reblogs, etc. are the primary way to spread out posts! This includes posts from friends, family, musicians, Sex Workers, charities, small businesses, and artists rely on shared posts to reach and expand their circle of potential clients, fans, or readers. White background, black text, doodle of myself handing off a piece of art to a viewer. LOADS of grammar errors.

Likes on the other hand are not as valuable. Theyre more like a photo album you keep at home to look through later. Speech bubble "Is that [blank]s whole entire [blank] out?" Having them be public feels kinda not great at all... Speech bubble "This was a bad idea..." White background, black text, a doodle of myself sweating a lot and showing a viewer my likes while my wig flies clean off my head.

GENERALLY reposts are better than likes as it will reach a much broader audience. Like a bee going out to pollinate the world!
