The stuff that worked for us last season is mostly useless in the PL, so we've changed system and theoretically going more direct and physical but Farke doesn't seem totally bought in. That and we're short of goalscorers

However Leeds United are playing today

It's alright they're gonna build a tram, unfortunately I'll probably be retired by the time it opens

Sorry to hear that James, sounds like a guy who had some great stories to tell!

"X is expensive, so we'll add friction to obtaining X" is a standard pattern to try and control costs. Unfortunately rarely taken into account is the delays and expense incurred upstream from the added friction

I don't think this is clearly true - we get what central government decides because local government is rarely enabled to propose and construct the projects it would in other less centralised nations

The services provided by central government have largely been sustained but the services provided by local government, which are often more visible, have not

I don't support the marchers but this seems very much the "but they have flat screen TVs and sky sports" bit that gets trotted out whenever anyone working class has the temerity to complain that they're having trouble making ends meet

The tools are simple but unfortunately they aren't very good. For example, the standard Windows management tools work well with Edge but don't work if a third party browser is installed. Clean DNS services work but modern browsers can use use DNS over HTTP.

There is a lot of walking involved. Often in seemingly random directions down quite dingy corridors. Manchester is like a scale model of Heathrow built on a budget

Would it be the morally right thing to do? Also yes

A top guy and underrated footballer

Certainly on UK bookies if you create an account, win one weird long odds prop bet and then cash out I would expect to get your account frozen most of the time
July 9, 2025 at 12:58 PM
What I never understood was how the market for these types of bets is ever deep enough to make it profitable for the people involved. Most bookies you do well to get more than a fiver on

Any thoughts on Keith Andrews? Seems like a lot happening at Brentford this summer
June 27, 2025 at 12:37 PM
It's possible the Marks and Spencer and co-op cyber attacks influenced these numbers
June 20, 2025 at 9:18 AM
I'm assuming you mean HS2 2a here, 2b seems to be forgotten

I've got a feeling the "large savings" will be the usual outsourcing and sale and lease back arrangements we've seen prove false economies before
May 30, 2025 at 8:09 AM
Also putting water on a petrol fire seems a bad idea
May 27, 2025 at 11:06 AM
I'd also suggest that the strong public transport offering and congestion charge combine to make London's streets relatively welcoming for cyclists
May 26, 2025 at 8:35 AM
You could have chosen David Batty Seth, just saying

If you visit a shop or restaurant and it suddenly has a "cash only" sign in the window it's usually an indication they're about to go bust
May 23, 2025 at 8:09 AM
There's no reason xG should underestimate counter-attacking teams - if they are creating better opportunities e.g. shot takers in more space then this is taken into account in modern xG models

Let's be honest Sunderland was never offered the choice of being Singapore, it was Johor at best

It's also very unlikely that DWP can deploy automated systems that deny benefit payments so there is a big difference between indicating fraud and proving fraud...
