To be fair, the stock market is mercurial, and much of these losses will be recovered if/when the uncertainty around Trump’s economic policies is resolved. On the other hand, he blamed Biden when the same exact thing happened.

I’m not sure what you mean by this. There are many areas of agreement among modern (academic) economists. These are ideas with strong theoretical foundations and mountains of supporting empirical evidence. That didn’t stop being true in 2016.
