This is what I don't understand—this has been Schumer's argument, but it seems like Trump et al. have been perfectly willing to gut everything with the lights on, so that argument doesn't feel like it holds water?

This, and, I think many of us *do* feel beyond anger and fear, and have for basically 9 years. But like, that isn't doing anything, and no one is leading the masses in a coordinated, opposing way. And that just adds to the chaos!

Obviously to your second point: Yes. As to Jamelle/BR: Hard disagree, based on what feels like narrow interpretation of what makes a movie "good." Like, if the cinematography is the point of the film, and it succeeds, and the other components serve that, can't that be a "good film"?

lol, i will confess that after i wrote that, i went to Levi's website and was looking at the 501s and then was like, "wait, why are *these* 501s $60, but *these* 501s are $100?" and then I realized the "premium" distinction and honestly, that's so weird and dumb and disappointing.

my favorite pair of jeans were a pair of 501s I bought when I started grad school. They were casual, flattering, felt good, and the no-zip full-button fly is 🔥🔥🔥. but maybe that's just me?
