Obviously everything is subjective. And it's great to have so many options in the Aussie market when it comes to BEVs.

Definitely getting to the stage where there's a model at various price points for most needs.

If you've read this far, thanks for reading my ramblings 😂

Here's me in the 7X!

Next up was the Daimler Truck stand with their electric trucks, including Mercedes Benz eActros and the smaller Fuso eCanter.

Don't know much about trucks aside from what I've seen from the Electric Trucker channel on YouTube 🤣

Renault had to the Megane E-Tech and Scenic E-Tech BEVs. As well as a Kangoo E-Tech.

Massive boot space in both, but the boot lip was also a bit high.

Quizzed the staff there about the Renault 4/5, and they said they weren't sure if they were coming.

Told them I thought they should def bring it 😂

Upon entering the venue, first brand you'll see two Geely Group brands (Zeekr and Geely Auto), well XPeng too to be fair 😂

Another Geely brand, Farizon had a converted camper van further in.

Also finally spotted the Skoda Elroq in person. Forgot to post the photos of it yesterday.

I do have a soft spot for Skoda cars in general, too bad about the lack of connected vehicle support in Australia for the brand's cars 😭

Also saw 4 Fiat 500s, plus a 500 EV (aka 500e) next to them. Mostly just took a photo not the EV. From memory, it was a second hand model that was available for sale via a dealer exhibiting there.

Went to the Italian Festival today at Melbourne's Royal Exhibition Building.

It was absolutely packed, both inside and outside. There was food and other booths selling stuff both inside and outside the building.

Here's something similar for Australia. First screenshot is for the whole of Australia. Second is for my home state (Victoria) and third is South Australia.

It's a great site that is very interactive, allowing you to drill down and filter it all.

They've just dropped the price of the 2023 Ioniq 6 in Australia to match the Kona Electric ($49,990 AUD drive away no more to pay) 😂. It's $16,000 less than the Ioniq 5 right now!

It's crazy pricing. The updated 2026 Ioniq 6 model is supposed to arrive here soon.

With major construction at the new Town Hall Station completed, that must mean the new Melbourne Metro Tunnel must be getting closer to opening.

For some reason I had to verify my account details on Threads this morning.

Account got suspended for whatever reason.

No idea what happened 🤷🏻‍♂️

Nearly nobody buys the Niro EV over here.

For the same price as the Niro EV ($66k AUD RRP), you can get a mid spec EV5 (Earth -$64,770 RRP) or the top end EV3 (GT-Line $63,950 RRP).

The Skoda Vision O concept is kinda growing on me.

It's essentially going to be the EV version of the Skoda Octavia (one of their best selling models). I'm probably a bit biased though 😂

Not just that, but BYD also offers a ton more BEVs at various price points too. Several of which are much cheaper than any Tesla model.

Just looking at Australia, Tesla has the clear YTD BEV delivery lead. But BYD has had the lead for recent months
