It definitely looks like an improvement on the original Steam Controller and I like how the gyro is implemented. Hopefully it doesn’t cost too much, I wouldn’t mind switching to it over my Logitech wired controller (which is reliable, though it’s starting to fall apart on me)

Air Ride mode is fun too, the new tracks really take that rollercoaster type track design and push it way further than the first game. Waveflow Waters is definitely my favorite of the three in this demo.

Definitely going to be playing again next week

That sucks to hear, hope you feel better soon!

I still had a great time regardless, and I definitely want to replay it. Not sure if I like it as much as the original, but as far as reimagined games go this one was a delight to play.

Now it’s time for to play DQ II HD and finish out the Erdrich trilogy again! (4/4)

I understand why they wanted to direct the player more, but part of why I love the original is how surprisingly open-ended it is. There is an intended order, but with a bit of strategy and luck you can break through to late game areas early.

That’s no longer possible, which is a shame (3/4)

The story additions were neat, I like how Gwaelin has a bit more to do and the callbacks to DQ3 were cool.

If there’s anything I don’t like about this version, it’s that it’s much more linear than the original. You just can’t get to certain places as early as you used to (2/4)

Overall I’m pretty excited to try this game. I don’t like the $70 price tag, but it’s clear a lot of love went into this game and I hope it lives up to the original.

Definitely going to try the public demo next month. Wagon Star better be playable (4/4)

Road Trip looks fun, I’m glad it pulls from all three of the other modes. I may actually play online on this one since the online mode looks like it has a lot of options.

I also like that Sakurai confirmed there won’t be DLC - it’s good to know this game will be complete at launch (3/4)

Top Ride coming back makes me happy, and it was a pleasant surprise to see you can use any vehicle this time around. The machine customization also looks cool and I’m glad that there’s more than one boss for City Trial (2/4)

Only complaints I can think of is that the game’s a bit too easy at points (though that depends on your setup) and some sidequest solutions are a bit obtuse, but the amount of fun I had greatly overshadows any issues I had.

I think it’s on sale on Steam right now, I definitely recommend it

The craziest part of looking up the song was learning that the full version was lost media for over 20 years until someone reached out to some staff that worked on the OVA

Don’t know why I have this many thoughts on an opening cutscene, but I’ve played Pac-Man World 2 so many times that even the most minute changes feel large to me.

Still excited to play the game, though I wouldn’t be surprised if I prefer the look of the original by the time I’m done lol

I like Clyde’s new animations, the way he somersaults forward in fear when he sees Pac-Man and looks around at the other ghosts at the end is very funny to me.

Spooky looks and sounds great, I like the eye flash when he grabs the fruit.

The fruit being so large is funny to me for some reason
