I feel like silksong or HK are correct in their thesis around difficulty and altering it would adulterate their vision. I think too that it is generally helpful to know some parameters of the game, especially if they’re meta-parameters about what you should do if you’re stuck.

I think this is my generation’s version of middle age: if you were online in the early days, you eventually knew all the memes. Today? I’ll say it: There might be too many memes.

Industrial/organizational (abbrv’d to “I/O”) psych was the track most of my graduating class did. Not me cuz ew, but it was viewed as the way to get a psych degree with the best chance of landing a decent-paying first HR job. Which, again: I’m good.

Look, I’m all for criticizing her views and I have no doubt she’s a massive, unprincipled hypocrite but I won’t shame her for engaging in sex work per se. That’s the Christofascist playbook 101 and I ain’t falling for it.

Has your HR been running hard interference defending the cost increases? Our basic premiums are up 75% YoY and our Rx coverage still sucks, which I could forgive if every benefit wasn’t administered via this Balkanized set of third parties with no inter-operation who just want our healthcare data.

What I find really unfortunate is the fact that they obviously invested so much in a lot of the sound design and then sold out the few human voices in a game that is *literally about humans fighting against armed drones*

And he *knows* that it’s a petty, venal jealousy. He’s not stupid, nor does he lack insight. He’s just angry at another man and grasping to assert that they can’t be judged equally on the content of their characters. And hoult plays it to the hilt.

I realized the reason my display looked so washed out was partly my monitor settings but also the gamma in the Nvidia app needed to come down ~15% and seems to preempt adjustments in Windows settings. No clue how to google this.

the biggest whiners are the CoD players who, yes, get less value from their annual Skinner box d/t monetization, but are also so much louder and snottier abt it than your FIFA and Madden bros. Because I think the former are the self-ID’d “gamerz” and the latter are guys who play games sometimes.
