This morning, IC× came to the North Ward and specifically Bayard Street to arrest someone without a warrant. Hours later they gave up and went home after not being able to get a legal warrant from a judge.

The community showed up to say that Trenton supports the US Constitution & human rights.

This past week's Trenton City Council Docket for our meeting. Lots to read, go over, and ask about. Glad we still get paper copies and then can recycle them.

Bravo, Clerk's Office!

I got back much later than expected from a long trip, but we had a wonderful time at the Liberian Independence Block Party in my Ward last night!

Thank you to the Trenton Professional Old Timers and our great Liberian community for inviting us to celebrate Liberia's Independence once again!

We've had a lot of crime issues in the city in the past few weeks. Let's talk about it! Plus, Fire and Water Departmenr updates, too!

As we close this 81st Anniversary of D-Day, the Longest Day, I think of what my Dad said of those who fought in World War II like he did - "The real heroes are the guys who never came back".

Young men, not much older than my son and as young as my daughter died there. May they all rest in peace.

This afternoon was very uplifting as @philadelphiaeagles.bsky.social great Troy Vincent and his wife, Tommi, visited the community garden on Chestnut Avenue in the North Ward to officially unveil the GrowShed which will be used to grow vegetables year round - without soil, via hydroponics.

Bravo!

Yesterday, I was honored to attend the ribbon-cutting of our city's new park and playground whic is dedicated to NJ State Trooper Carlos Negron, who was murdered when his life was taken by someone he was hoping to help on the Turnpike while performing his sworn duty to serve and protect all of us.

I wasn't able to stay until the rain-delayed start of today's Haitian flag-raising festivities (& missed the great food) at Trenton City Hall as I had an appointment, but I can assure you that all good & proud time was had by all. Thanks Lawrence Township Councilwoman Olympia Perry for the invite!

Things I never thought I would see in my lifetime:

1.) The Berlin Wall coming down (1989).

2.) The Philadelphia Eagles winning a Super Bowl (2018).

3.) An American Pope (2025).

WOW!! Glad I lived long enough to see it! Thank you, God!

How about the heroic US Navy Ensign George Gay from the Battle of Midway in 1942?
March 12, 2025 at 4:10 AM
Ever hear of Ensign George Gay He was the ONLY SURVIVOR of US Navy Torpedo Squadron 8 that attacked 4 Japanese aircraft carriers at the Battle of Midway.

This Administration almost removed his image weeks back. Because his last name was GAY.

Proud to carry on the tradition of bringing Smokehouse Buffalo Wings on Thanksgiving to the Trenton Fire HQ as my predecessor, former North Ward Councilwoman Marge Caldwell-Wilson did before. It is a great to see owner Reggie Hallett again and visiting Fire HQ is always nice & on this day, humbling.
