Could you ask her about making it safer for kids to walk to school? We live in South Seattle (our oldest goes to MLK on Holly) and the intersection of 44th and holly is really dangerous. Paris used schools as an anchor to make things more pedestrian friendly (www.upworthy.com/paris-redesi...)
