For whatever it's worth, I really appreciated those later methodological papers. I am firmly in the camp that prediction-oriented modeling is highly undervalued and often misunderstood in psychological science.

I usually only see this in measures with a putative higher order factor, which seems defensible. Are you finding other cases?
